UPPWATER Projects Parade

Event details

On Wednesday, 10 June 2026, UPPWATER is organizing the UPPWATER Projects Parade at the Floating Pavilion on the RDM Campus in Rotterdam. This inspiring afternoon focuses on networking, knowledge exchange, and collaboration.

UPPWATER is the acceleration program for the Dutch water technology sector. It implements the Groeiplan Watertechnologie and is co-funded by the National Growth Fund. KWR is one of the initiators and consortium partners of UPPWATER and is responsible for program line 2: Pilot & Testing.

Dutch Water Tech Runs on Talent

Under the theme “Dutch water tech runs on talent,” the Projects Parade brings together companies, research institutions, water authorities, industry, and students. The event showcases how talent and innovation jointly contribute to the future of water.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • connect with professionals and emerging talent
  • explore ongoing UPPWATER projects
  • identify new collaboration opportunities
  • exchange knowledge within the water sector

Companies and Students Pitch Their Talent

Short pitches are central to the program. Companies present what drives them, the innovations they are developing, and the talent they are seeking.

Students will present their ideas during the Student Water Challenge: how they apply their talent to solutions related to water quality and water availability.

Pitch

Would you like to present your organisation or idea? You can do so in a two-minute pitch addressing:

  • a societal water-related problem
  • why this is an issue
  • your innovative solution
  • the role of talent
  • what you are looking for (e.g. partners, clients, or new talent)

What to Expect

In addition to the pitches, there will be ample opportunities to connect through:

  • speed networking sessions
  • workshops
  • the networking marketplace

And, of course, there will be time for informal conversations over pizza.

Target Audience

This event is relevant for:

  • water technology companies
  • research institutions
  • drinking water companies and water authorities
  • industry and other end users
  • students interested in water technology
