Victor Servando García Rea is an environmental biotechnologist and researcher specialized in industrial wastewater treatment, environmental bioprocesses, anaerobic biotechnology, biogas upgrading, and resource recovery. He combines academic expertise with industrial experience in biological treatment systems, particularly anaerobic digestion and microbial processes.

He obtained his BSc and MSc degrees at National Autonomous University of Mexico, where he developed a strong background in chemistry, microbiology, and biochemistry through work at the Faculty of Chemistry and the Engineering and Ecology Institutes. He later obtained a PhD in Environmental Engineering from Delft University of Technology, focusing on the application of anaerobic membrane bioreactors (AnMBR) for industrial wastewater treatment.

Afterwards, he worked on the design and optimization of biological reactors for wastewater and waste treatment, ranging from laboratory and pilot-scale studies to full-scale industrial applications. He also contributed to applied projects involving process optimization, laboratory experimentation, and biological process monitoring.

At KWR, Victor contributes to the research and development of sustainable biological and physicochemical solutions for water, wastewater, and waste treatment, with a focus on resource recovery and multidisciplinary innovation projects.
