Inge van Driezum PhD

Inge van Driezum works as a researcher specialising in groundwater quality and protection within the Ecohydrology team. She investigates the presence of various contaminants in both surface water and groundwater. Together, these form the sources of drinking water. To keep these as clean as possible, she also investigates the potential of natural purification techniques for cleaning the water. A key part of this involves examining how these techniques can be effectively implemented.

In addition to her work on water quality, she is also active in the field of (drinking water) safety. At KWR, she does this through the Water Hotline and related projects. She also volunteers as a Hazardous Substances Advisor for the Utrecht Safety Region.

In her work, Inge maintains close contact with the Dutch drinking water sector, water authorities and other relevant government bodies.
