Inge van Driezum-Lust PhD

Inge van Driezum is Domain Leader for Chemical Water Quality at KWR. She is responsible for the strategic direction and positioning of the domain, as well as for coaching and supporting the professional development of its staff.

She also works as a researcher in environmental chemistry, groundwater quality and groundwater protection. Her research focuses on the presence of a range of contaminants in both surface water and groundwater. To help keep these water sources as clean as possible, she also investigates the potential of natural treatment technologies for water purification. An important part of this work is examining how these technologies can be implemented effectively in practice.

Alongside her work on water quality, she is also active in the field of drinking water safety and broader water safety. At KWR, she contributes to this through the Watertelefoon and related projects. In addition, she volunteers as a Hazardous Materials Adviser for the Utrecht Safety Region.

Her work involves close collaboration with the Dutch drinking water sector, water authorities and other relevant public authorities.
