Noor van Dooren is researcher in the Resilience Management & Governance team. Her research focuses on customer behaviour, environmental management and water in the circular economy. In this, she actively interacts with drinking water companies and also works in large European consortia. She obtained her master’s degree in Transnational Ecosystem-based Water Management, a double degree programme at Radboud University and Universität Duisburg-Essen, in early 2023. During a research internship at Royal HaskoningDHV, Noor compared stakeholder participation in the Delta Programme Freshwater in the Netherlands and the National Capital Integrated Coastal Development plan in Jakarta, Indonesia. In her thesis at KWR, she applied the City Blueprint Approach to identify city-to-city learning lessons for Uzbek cities. Based on 26 interviews with stakeholder organisations and working closely with UNESCO, Noor conducted an in-depth analysis of the administrative problem-solving capacity of Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, to provide access to water services to its population
