Xi Bai PhD

Xi Bai is a scientific researcher in the field of Microbiological Water Quality and Health. Xi obtained her PhD from the University of Amsterdam, where she researched the microbial ecology of slow sand filters for drinking water production. She also focused on the removal of microbial hazards from drinking water through biofiltration processes. At KWR, her research focuses on projects in which microbial activity plays a key role. She addresses microbiological challenges related to maintaining high water quality in water systems, such as managing the regrowth of pathogens in man-made systems (e.g. drinking water distribution systems, horticulture, and healthcare).
