Covenant on hydrogen in mobility for the province of Utrecht signed by more than 80 parties

More than 80 parties signed the ‘Covenant on Hydrogen in Mobility for the Province of Utrecht’ during two events. By signing, the parties express their intentions and ambitions to stimulate the use and production of green hydrogen for mobility in the province of Utrecht.

Drive through signing

On Wednesday 21 April, the Province of Utrecht, KWR Water Research Institute and the Energy Collective Utrecht (ECUB) organised a drive-through signing for a limited group (because of the corona measures) of entrepreneurs:  by driving all kinds of vehicles (cars, trucks, buses, bicycles, etc.), they demonstrated how they aim to contribute to the objectives of the hydrogen covenant.

Online meeting for the official signing

On Friday 23 April, the Province of Utrecht, KWR Water Research Institute and the Energy Collective  Utrecht (ECUB) organised an online meeting to mark the official signing of the covenant. Ed Nijpels, Bart Biebuyck, Ad van Wijk, Jörg Gigler and delegate Arne Schaddelee expressed their views on the potential and challenges of hydrogen as an energy source.
