Milou Dingemans has more than ten years’ experience in scientific research into the harmful effects of chemical exposure on the nervous system. She completed her studies in Biology in the field of Toxicology and Environmental Health, followed by doctoral research and postdoctoral work in human toxicology. Since 2016, she has worked as a researcher and toxicologist in the Chemical Water Quality and Health team. Milou is a member of the International Society of Toxicology, as well as member and secretary of the Dutch Society of Toxicology. At KWR Milou works on the assessment of potential health risks of substances relevant to the watercycle e.g., environmental contaminants on commissions from water companies, government and industry. In addition she is busy with the development, validation and implementation of innovative testing methods (such as bioassays), and risk assessment techniques related to chemical water quality. Milou is also involved in the Crisis Expert Team Environment and Drinking Water (CET-md).
