Vincent Peters

Vincent Peters is a researcher in the Water Treatment and Resource Recovery team. He is involved in modelling water treatment processes using a combination of mechanical models and machine learning. During his postdoctoral research at Utrecht University, he studied the mineral growth of barium sulphate and iron sulphide, which are important in the context of scaling. He used data analysis, theory and ab initio quantum chemical simulations for this research. During his PhD at Eindhoven University of Technology, he researched phase separation of polymers and colloidal particles, including viruses and bacteria, by deriving various thermodynamic models for this purpose.
