Jos Frijns MSc

Jos Frijns is Domain Leader for Social Sciences at KWR. He is responsible for the strategic and substantive direction of the knowledge domain, the professional development of its staff and capacity planning. The Social Sciences & Humanities domain conducts applied scientific research in the fields of water governance, behavioural sciences and transformative studies.

Jos is an experienced researcher and expert in knowledge development for societal water challenges. His work focuses on social values in sustainability transitions, including citizens’ perspectives on water reuse and strategy development for a circular water economy. He also has extensive experience as a process and project manager in international consultancy and research projects, including as coordinator of the EU Horizon project NextGen Circular Water Solutions.
Jos is a Visiting Fellow at the Cranfield Water Science Institute.
