As a principal scientist, Christos Makropoulos works on methods, tools and strategies for a more resilient urban water cycle. Christos is an expert in the field of hydroinformatic for urban water management, with an emphasis on water infrastructure and whole city modelling. In his work, he focuses on optimisation, risk analysis, uncertainty quantification and long-term policy implementation for both physical and cyber-physical water systems. He is the author of more than 100 peer-reviewed articles, conference papers and book chapters, and is a reviewer for 15 academic journals. Christos is an Associate Professor in Hydroinformatics at the School of Civil Engineering in the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and a Professor in Hydroinformatics and Smart Water Systems at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He is also the co-editor in Chief of Urban Water Journal and a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Hydroinformatics.
