As a principal scientist, Christos Makropoulos works on management tools and strategies for a resilient urban watercycle. Christos is an expert in the field of hydroinformatic tools and methods for urban water management, with an emphasis on water infrastructure and city modelling. In his work, he focuses on risk analysis, uncertainty quantification and long-term policy implementation. He is the author of more than 100 peer-reviewed articles, conference papers and book chapters, and is a reviewer for 15 academic journals.
In addition, Christos is associated with the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) as Associate Professor in Hydroinformatics at the School of Civil Engineering. He is Visiting Fellow at the University of Exeter, Co-editor of the Urban Water Journal and member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Hydroinformatics.
