Ralph Beuken works as a researcher on the Water Infrastructure team. His expertise is in asset management of underground infrastructure, focusing on knowledge building of pipeline conditions, setting up information systems and performance and risks of the pipeline network. In addition, Ralph is the Theme Coordinator of Asset Management, where his main duties are: 1. in charge of various research projects in knowledge development on underground infrastructure, (topics: inspection techniques for pipelines, performance indicators, failure registration, decision support in remediation decisions, pipeline materials, external effects, data analysis and GIS); 2. In charge of coordinating the theme Asset Management, (duties: formulating a vision, drawing up project plans, customer contacts, secretary meetings, drawing up progress reports); 3. Formulating a vision for underground infrastructure; 4. Maintaining a national and international network. Ralph is also a member of the KNW Asset Management theme group.
