Anne Mathilde Hummelen is programme manager of the Joint Research Programme, the collective research programme for Dutch drinking water. As a programme manager, she makes sure that relevant developments in society and technology are translated into research projects, supplying the Dutch drinking water sector with the knowledge to provide impeccable drinking water now and in the future. Anne Mathilde is a civil engineer (at Delft University of Technology) and specialises in groundwater and drinking water. During her time working at KWR, Anne Mathilde focused on both research and advice (geohydrological studies, strategic use of sources, future scenarios) and on project and programme management. Anne Mathilde has many years of experience in programme management: first for the DPWE research, then for the Joint Research Programme and also for TKI Water Technology in the past few years. In addition, Anne Mathilde was the team leader for a few years (on the Knowledge and Programme Management team) and was part of the KWR Works Council.
