Lisa works as a researcher in the Innovation and Valorisation team and is currently a PhD candidate working in the EU Project IMPETUS with the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development at Utrecht University. Her work is divided between research and the practical application of engagement, knowledge transfer, learning theories, science communication, and collaboration across her PhD, EU and international projects. In this context, Lisa’s engagement work focuses on building relationships, facilitation, and co-defining strategic innovations and partnerships across the international water sector. Her passion lies in connecting people and ideas, thus building capacities to deliver on urban water solutions for a water-wise world. Previously, Lisa worked on international consulting projects with The Nature Conservancy, IWA, and the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities, at the Federation for Canadian Municipalities (FCM) as Capacity Building Officer in the Partners for Climate Protection Program in Ottawa, Canada, and at the IWA in the Cities of the Future Programme in The Hague, Netherlands.
