Lisa works as a researcher in the Innovation and Valorisation team and is a PhD candidate with the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development at Utrecht University, funded by the completed European project IMPETUS. Her work is divided between research and practice: engaging stakeholders, transferring knowledge and ensuring successful collaboration and communication across projects and programmes. In this context, Lisa’s work focuses on building relationships, facilitation, and co-defining strategic innovations and partnerships nationally and internationally. Her passion lies in connecting people and ideas, thus building capacities to deliver on urban water solutions for a water-wise world. Previously, Lisa worked on international consulting projects with The Nature Conservancy, IWA, and the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities with Monash University. Prior to that, Lisa worked at the Federation for Canadian Municipalities (FCM) as Capacity Building Officer in the Partners for Climate Protection Program in Ottawa, Canada, and at the IWA in the Cities of the Future Programme in The Hague, Netherlands.
