Joan Rose lectures at KWR on the importance of genomics for the water sector

On 16 January, Joan B. Rose of Michigan State University and Stockholm Water Prize winner, paid a visit to KWR. As she did at the IWA World Water Congress, Rose gave a lecture on the rapid development of genomic techniques, the water microbiome and their importance for the water sector.

Inspiration for the water sector

In October 2016, Joan Rose was appointed KWR Honorary Fellow. It is in this framework that she visited KWR this week and repeated her keynote speech given at the IWA World Water Congress on the rapid development of genomic techniques, the water microbiome and their importance for the water sector. The audience included researchers from KWR, RIVM, water companies and water laboratories.
