Webinar 6: Dealing with Water Quality Challenges for Water Supply

Event details

Drinking water sources can contain a wide range of chemical contaminants. The contaminants vary by location, water type and over time. Targeted research into diverse contaminants provides insight into the occurrence of these contaminants, which can then be tested against standards or (provisional) guideline values. In addition, more integrated screening approaches help shed light on the diversity of substances in the constantly changing state of the (drinking) water cycle. To address the many challenges for the supply of drinking water in terms of chemical water quality, it is necessary to develop and apply analytical methods and techniques and to gain insight into chemical threats and their associated health risks.

In this webinar, Eau de Paris (France) and Water Research Centre (England) will present how they deal with water quality challenges, with a particular focus on chemical contaminants.

The webinar, organised by KWR’s Joint Research Programme of the Dutch and Flemish drinking water sector and Watershare, will take place on 17 May 2022 from 13:00-14:00 (NL local time). The webinar on “Dealing with Water Quality Challenges for Water Supply” is the seventh in the ‘Sharing International Experiences on Water Supply’ webinar series.
