In November 2015, Arcadis and KWR signed a Memorandum of Understanding which launched their collaboration in the field of sustainable water solutions. This ‘SALutions’ public-private partnership within Allied Waters is directed at innovative, practical applications for groundwater management, with the common objective of protecting, enlarging and sustainably utilizing fresh groundwater resources in coastal delta areas.
Bringing research results to market
‘We’re very happy with this first step,’ says Frank Goossensen, Director of Water at Arcadis. ‘Collaborating on sustainable, innovative solutions in the area of drinking water should establish us as a world player in the market.’ Wim van Vierssen, CEO of KWR, says that ‘for KWR, the collaboration with Arcadis means that the results of research and development will reach the market, in a collaborative work model that continuously stimulates innovation.’
