Kimberly Learbuch is a Microbiological Water Quality researcher. Kimberly has worked on all sorts of subjects; like tracing blue-green algae (specifically Woronichinia) using molecular techniques. Developing and testing eDNA primer sets for the most important target species, which play a role in standards for the Water Framework Directive. Right now, she’s mainly looking at microbiological activity, particularly regrowth in the distribution system and growth-enhancing properties of materials in contact with drinking water.
