Kimberly Learbuch is a Microbiological Water Quality researcher. Kimberly has worked on all sorts of subjects; like tracing blue-green algae (specifically Woronichinia) using molecular techniques. Developing and testing eDNA primer sets for the most important target species, which play a role in measuring sticks for the Water Framework Directive. Right now, she’s mainly looking at microbiological activity, particularly regrowth in the distribution system and qualities of materials that encourage growth in contact with drinking water.
