In this colourful issue, you can read about how drinking water professionals are turning their expertise into concrete steps for the future. The magazine is full of interviews, stories from the field and cases where implementation, policy and science meet. Among other things, there is a look back at the Waterwijs Week, where water professionals from the entire sector met and exchanged ideas. One of the highlights was the presentation of the Waterwijs Practice Award. The focus is on the award winners Gondwana and Aqualudens but also on the other inspiring projects.

In the foreword, Jan Gooijer emphasises how the sector is increasingly breaking new ground and he refers to the new GRROW dictionary: “Language matters. And choosing the right word broadens your horizons, makes you attentive to your surroundings and sensitive to the difference between good and better choices. That makes us Wiser with Water and we can branch out in other directions with confidence.”
