KWR is a new Samen voor Nieuwegein partner

KWR has become a silver partner of Samen voor Nieuwegein, an intermediary between businesses and the community in the town where the institute is located. In part because of its core activities in the field of water research, KWR is a socially committed organisation. By becoming a partner of Samen voor Nieuwegein, KWR wants to transform this commitment into concrete activities.

CEO Wim van Vierssen explains: ‘In 1973 we set ourselves up in Nieuwegein. In 2014 we moved into our new building at the same location: Groningenhaven 7. By participating in Samen voor Nieuwegein we demonstrate our commitment and stimulate our staff members to take part in local activities. We contribute in this way to strengthening the ties between businesses and the community in Nieuwegein, where we are located.’

Samen voor Nieuwegein is happy to have KWR as a new partner. Intermediary Karin Beenen says that ‘KWR is an important organisation in the Netherlands. Thanks to the institute’s research, we enjoy clean water from our taps every day in this country. It is very special that this big organisation is located in Nieuwegein. We are pleased that KWR wants to contribute to our network and projects.’

KWR CEO Wim van Vierssen and Intermediary Karin Beenen sign the Samen voor Nieuwegein contract.
