Session on knowledge sharing at conference in Wageningen

Water Authorities work with provinces, drinking water companies, the national government and other stakeholders on the Delta-approach Water Quality and Fresh Water. This collaborative approach should help achieve the objectives of the European Water Framework Directive. There is in the Netherlands a great deal of available knowledge concerning water quality, but it is not sufficiently integrated and accessible. With the aim of making this knowledge available in an optimal manner to the Delta-approach, KWR has joined Deltares, RIVM and WUR in launching the Water Quality Knowledge Impulse. During this session at the Water Science for Impact conference in Wageningen, we will work with national and international colleagues in building an inventory of best practices for the integration of knowledge between different regions, organisations and sectors, and for the organisation of research with a view to creating impact (valorisation).
