Power-to-Protein at Future Food exhibition

Event details

At the Future Food exhibition, the NEMO Science Museum and the Next Nature Network take visitors on a food journey. Through various plant- and animal-based as well as functional food scenarios, you will gain a glimpse into the future of edible insects, cultured meat, GMO, biotech, plant-like alternatives, alternative cultivation methods, food as medicine and new sensorial food experiences.

In a comprehensive collaboration, KWR and Allied Waters, together with the Flemish company Avecom, have already been working for five years in the Power-to-Protein project on a future-proof and sustainable alternative to animal or plant protein. The protein powder is initially intended for use as animal feed, but possible human consumption in the future is also envisaged. At the Future Food exhibition we will demonstrate how to produce these proteins.
