Event details

The use of antibiotics by humans and in veterinary practice has hugely increased over the last few decades. Antibiotics, transformation products and antibiotic resistant bacteria (ARB) end up in the environment and have undesirable effects on the microbial population. This workshop will examine the importance of antibiotic resistance for the drinking water sector. The problems will be elucidated on the basis of a several presentations by experts from various sectors, such as medicine, veterinary medicine and wastewater.
