Jasper Immink is a scientific researcher in the Water Treatment and Resource Recovery team. He designs and implements models of various water purification processes, such as coagulation/precipitation processes and active coal filtration. For this, he interprets the physical and chemical processes that underpin a specific water treatment process, and implements these digitally. Furthermore, Jasper trains models to predict the adsorption behavior of unknown organic materials on active coal, calculates the uncertainty propagation of a given model, and works to broaden existing models that KWR has developed. Jasper has a background in physical and colloid chemistry. He finished his promotion research in Lund, Sweden in 2019, where he combined experimental and theoretical work. He worked several years as a researcher in Düsseldorf, Germany before joining KWR in 2022.
