Call on Indonesian attendees for cooperation

International legionella seminar in Jakarta

Jakarta recently played host to the seminar ‘Legionella risk, regulations & analysis’, which aimed to get its Indonesian attendees to join the project ‘Legionella control in the tropics’. The WLN laboratory in Manado, Indonesia, has now carried out and validated a legionella analysis, which makes this laboratory the most important link in the TKI water technology project. The seminar was organised by WLN Indonesia, WLN Netherlands, WMD and KWR.

Targeted search for dominant legionella strains

The TKI water technology project ‘Legionella control in the tropics’ that was launched in 2018 focusses on monitoring and controlling the legionella bacteria in water systems in the tropical regions. Since efforts to control legionella in Indonesia are still in their infancy, this country is an important partner for this project.
