The station, which is installed on KWR\u2019s site in Nieuwegein, represents an important step in the transition to a sustainable energy system. Hysolar, which was co-created by Allied Waters, will be producing 300,000 kg of green hydrogen annually with this new facility. This volume is enough to provide about sixty busses or lorries with sustainable energy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The new Hysolar production location is one of the first in the Netherlands and underlines the importance of green hydrogen in the transition to a CO<sub>2<\/sub>-neutral future. With pioneering techniques, such as the installation of one-kilometre-long underground hydrogen pipeline, Hysolar is committed to innovation. KWR researchers helped lay the foundation of the new facility through the development of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kwrwater.nl\/projecten\/power-to-x\/\">Power-to-X<\/a> concept.<\/p>\n<h2>Transition to a CO<sub>2<\/sub>-neutral future<\/h2>\n<p>Hysolar was created by Allied Waters \u2013 a sister company of KWR \u2013 and Contracting Company Jos Scholman, with Van Kessel\/Greenpoint as partner. This consortium combines scientific expertise and practical experience with the aim of making green hydrogen widely applicable. KWR plays a support role through the application of its expertise in the field of hydrogen research.<\/p>\n<h2>Festive opening<\/h2>\n<p>The opening ceremony takes place at the KWR site. During a plenary meeting for the guests, a variety of experts, including emeritus professor Ad van Wijk, will present their vision of the future of green hydrogen. The afternoon\u2019s high-point will be the official opening act by His Majesty the King. During the subsequent networking reception, the guests will talk about innovation, education and the applications for green hydrogen.
