{"id":7285,"date":"2017-02-24T11:39:14","date_gmt":"2017-02-24T10:39:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kwrwater.nl\/?p=7285\/"},"modified":"2017-04-10T11:54:47","modified_gmt":"2017-04-10T09:54:47","slug":"the-connecting-role-water-the-circular-economy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kwrwater.nl\/en\/actueel\/the-connecting-role-water-the-circular-economy\/","title":{"rendered":"The connecting role of water in the circular economy"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"post_intro\">\n<p>As of 21 March 2017, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kwrwater.nl\/en\/samenwerkingen\/tki-water-technology\/\" target=\"_blank\">TKI Water Technology<\/a> partners will be present at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/booking.evenementenhal.nl\/en\/aqua-nederland-vakbeurs-2017\/gorinchem\" target=\"_blank\">Aqua Trade Fair Netherlands<\/a> in Gorinchem. At stand number 114 we will show how we use cross-sectoral collaborations to work on the transition to a circular economy. On 21 March we will start with a workshop on &#8216;Water and Horticulture&#8217;. After that we\u2019ll be confirming the collaboration between the two sectors.\u00a0The next day we\u2019ll be dealing with \u2018Water\u2019 and \u2018Energy\u2019 and presenting Forze VII, a hydrogen racing car designed by the Forze student team from TU Delft! And on 23 March we\u2019ll be focusing on the \u2018Water\u2019 and \u2018Energy\u2019 collaboration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kwrwater.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/standontwerp.jpg\" width=\"1378\" height=\"862\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Within the Top Sector Alliances for Knowledge and Innovation (TKIs), research institutes, technology providers and end-users work in partnership on solutions and innovations for important themes in the Netherlands. Since water transcends the boundaries of the TKIs and the top sectors \u2013 as a product, energy- and nutrient-carrier, and food \u2013 it constitutes, by its very nature, a connecting element between, for example, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.topsectorwater.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\">Water Top Sector<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/topsectorenergie.nl\/english\/\" target=\"_blank\">Energy Top Sector<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/topsectortu.nl\/nl\" target=\"_blank\">Horticulture &amp; Propagation Materials Top Sector<\/a>. At TKI Water Technology\u2019s stand at the Aqua Trade Fair Netherlands, we will show what this collaboration leads to, in the form of interesting cross-sectoral projects and results.<\/p>\n<h2>\u2018Fuelled by the rain and sun\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>One of the remarkable projects which we\u2019d already like to draw your attention to is the new \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kwrwater.nl\/en\/actueel\/launch-of-power-to-x-hydrogen-project\/\">Power to X project<\/a> of \u00a0KWR, Waternet, VolkerWessels, Stedin, PitPoint and Allied Waters. Green hydrogen is an extremely clean energy source, which is produced from rainwater and renewable power generated by the wind or sun. At TKI Water Technology\u2019s stand you\u2019ll be able to see how this works. Among other things, this green hydrogen can be used to fuel cars \u2013 even racing cars. Look at Forze VII, the hydrogen racing car designed by the Forze Hydrogen Electric Racing student team from TU Delft (sponsored by PitPoint). On 22 March 2017, this spectacular racing car will be displayed especially for the visitors in the outdoor area of the Aqua Trade Fair Netherlands!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kwrwater.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/VII_RightSide_3759.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Won\u2019t you come along?<\/h2>\n<p>Maybe you\u2019d like to see the car?
