Rose of Michigan State University and Stockholm Water Prize winner, paid a visit to KWR. As she did at the IWA World Water Congress, Rose gave a lecture on the rapid development of genomic techniques, the water microbiome and their importance for the water sector.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Inspiration for the water sector<\/h2>\n<p>In October 2016, Joan Rose was appointed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kwrwater.nl\/actueel\/joan-rose-benoemd-tot-kwr-honorary-fellow\" target=\"_blank\">KWR Honorary Fellow<\/a>. It is in this framework that she visited KWR this week and repeated her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iwa-network.org\/event\/world-water-congress-exhibition-2016\/keynote-speakers\/\" target=\"_blank\">keynote speech given at the IWA World Water Congress <\/a>on the rapid development of genomic techniques, the water microbiome and their importance for the water sector.
