In 2015, KWR\u2019s Chief Information Officer, Christos Makropoulos, became a member of the Joint Committee on Hydroinformatics of the International Water Association (IWA) and the IAHR (International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research). The joint committee is responsible for the implementation of the Hydroinformatics R&D agenda.<\/p>\n

Hydroinformatics for a robust water sector<\/h2>\n

The challenges faced by the water sector, which form the basis of KWR\u2019s research agenda, require an adaptive, integrated and participatory response. In this context, and in their drive for greater robustness and efficiency, the Dutch water companies and waterboards are becoming increasingly aware of the benefits of hydroinformatics<\/a>.<\/p>\n

IWIWA\/IAHR Joint Committee on Hydroinformatics<\/h2>\n

The Joint Committee on Hydroinformatics coordinates relevant work on hydroinformatics across the two associations, develops a vision and a research agenda for the global hydroinformatics community and collaborates across disciplines with other groups, networks and associations to promote and improve hydroinformatics research and practice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
