Verstraete presented his view on the changes that need to be made to stimulate demand. Kees Roest provided nice <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eip-water.eu\/sites\/default\/files\/2015-07-27%20ARREAU%20review%20best%20practices_KWR_0.pdf\">examples<\/a> of already-developed value chains (e.g., drinking water production residuals) and of others currently under development (e.g., phosphorus and cellulose). Christian Kabbe pointed to several bottlenecks in the marketing and recovery of phosphorus. He also introduced the participants to the <a href=\"http:\/\/e-market.phosphorusplatform.eu\/\">e-market<\/a>, an online market for recovered nutrients, set up by P-Rex and the European Sustainable Phosphorus Platform (ESPP).<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 448px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kwrwater.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/\u2018Resource-Recovery-in-the-Water-Cycle\u2019-hoe-ziet-de-toekomst-eruit2.jpg\" alt=\"Participants voting with green and red cards (photo: Rob Kamminga).\" width=\"448\" height=\"299\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Participants voting with green and red cards (photo: Rob Kamminga).<\/p><\/div>\n<h2>Interactive component with panel<\/h2>\n<p>Later in the session, the participants and panel members were called on, under the guidance of Verstraete, to participate in the interactive component of the workshop. The panel consisted of Christian Kabbe, Pradeep Kumar Mohanty (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.finishsociety.com\/\">Finish Society<\/a>), Coos Wessels (BWA) and Geoffrey Salt (Advanced Minerals Softening Pellets). The panel members presented a number of propositions and asked the audience to react.
