This is achieved through education and training of staff, ample attention for knowledge sharing, and cooperation with other knowledge institutes. KTH and KWR aspire to intensify their collaboration in the field of drinking water treatment by appointing a guest researcher \/ visiting fellow position at KWR and KTH respectively.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>KTH and KWR have a long working relationship and are currently partners on ongoing projects eg. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kwrwater.nl\/projecten\/agrias\/\">AgriAs<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kth.se\/en\/seed\/forskning\/ali\/pagaende-forskningsprojekt\/development-of-affordable-adsorbent-systems-for-arsenic-and-fluoride-removal-in-the-drinking-water-sources-in-tanzania-dafwat-1.889425\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DAFWAT<\/a>. They cooperated in organizing the International Congress Series &#8220;Arsenic in the Environment&#8221; (2016 and 2018) and the As2020 which is rescheduled as As2021 during June 7-10, 2021to be held in\u00a0 Wageningen. In addition the strong collaboration is also reflected through a series of joint publications.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kwrwater.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Graphical-abstract-300dpi.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kwrwater.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Graphical-abstract-300dpi.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This collaboration mainly involves Prof. Dr. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kth.se\/profile\/prosun?l=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Prosun Bhattacharya<\/a> from KTH and ir. R.C.M. Jong from KWR. Prosun Bhattacharya is a professor and researcher at KTH. Prof. Dr. Prosun Bhattacharya holds a PhD from University of Delhi, India and is an expert of groundwater chemistry. He is involved in research in groundwater contamination in sedimentary aquifers in different parts of the world, especially focusing on geogenic contaminants \u2013 arsenic and fluoride. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kwrwater.nl\/en\/experts-expertises\/experts\/ron-jong-msc\/\">Ron Jong<\/a> is a senior researcher within the Drinking Water Treatment team of KWR.
