Since the beginning of April, Kees Roest<\/a> has been program director at the Institute for Sustainable Process Technology (ISPT). Industry, SMEs, researchers and government collaborate in the ISPT platform on breakthrough technologies for a circular economy and CO2-neutral industry. Roest holds ultimate responsibility for the ISPT clusters on Water Processing, Efficient Liquid Separation and the forthcoming one on Industrial Fluids Processing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

KWR has seconded Kees Roest for two days a week to function as program director at the Institute for Sustainable Process Technology<\/a>. Industry, SMEs, researchers and government collaborate on the ISPT platform on breakthrough technologies for a circular and CO2-neutral industry. Roest holds ultimate responsibility for the ISPT clusters on Water Processing, Efficient Liquid Separation and the forthcoming cluster on Industrial Fluids Processing.<\/p>\n

Kees Roest is the new Program Director at ISPT.<\/p><\/div>\n

Through its Industry, Wastewater and Reuse team, KWR participates in various ISPT research initiatives, such as the Eurydice<\/a> project on the recovery of salt and organics from saline residual streams, and Orpheus<\/a>, which concerns the treatment of organic polluted brine streams using membrane distillation and freeze crystallisation. ISPT is closely connected to the Energy Top Sector programme, and has a wide network in industry.<\/p>\n

Kees Roest is a senior researcher at KWR, working on innovations in the wastewater chain and resource recovery; he also already fills the role of programme coordinator for KWR activities within TKI Watertechnology<\/a>. Roest\u2019s activities, both substantively and organisationally, harmonise well with his new function as program director at ISPT<\/a>.<\/p>\n
