About the internship

You will delve into the world of data analysis and AI modeling, with a specific focus on optimizing the well-being of agricultural crops such as tomatoes and orchids. We are committed to offering you a hands-on learning experience, allowing you to acquire practical skills in data handling and analysis using cutting-edge AI tools. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to our Water Mining project, which focuses on the recovery of valuable resources from water effluents. This exciting project complements our research efforts and provides a well-rounded learning experience. Moreover, our internship program encompasses comprehensive mentorship from our experienced lead researcher, ensuring you receive the support necessary to thrive in this engaging and educational environment.

What do we ask of you?

We are currently seeking an intern who is enrolled in a BSc or MSc program in fields such as agriculture technology, water technology, environmental studies, or closely related areas. Whether you bring prior experience in data analysis and AI modeling or are eager to embark on this journey of discovery, a genuine interest in working with data is indispensable. Rest assured, as part of our internship program, we will provide you with valuable opportunities to learn and develop your skills in data analysis, utilizing state-of-the-art AI tools. Additionally, you will benefit from comprehensive mentorship provided by the lead researcher overseeing the project. We encourage a strong desire to learn, adapt, and acquire new skills, as our internship program offers invaluable educational experiences.

What do we offer you?

  • An instructive internship starting November 2023 (starting date in consultation) for 4-6 months for 32 – 40 hours a week.
  • The opportunity to work on your internship assignments.
  • A good balance between guidance and working independently.
  • A hybrid form of work, in which you can work both at home and in the office (Nieuwegein).
  • An internship allowance (€350 for fulltime internship) and laptop during your internship.
