Experimental researcher (BSc) (32-40 uur)

The position

We are looking for an innovative, results-oriented and practical-minded researcher in the field of water treatment techniques such as (membrane) filtration, (advanced) oxidation and adsorption. You will conduct research in the field of water treatment to help our customers with solutions to challenges in the water chain. The research questions you work on connect water quality, process operations, design, efficiency and sustainability. You will design experimental plans, implement them, analyze data, identify opportunities and bottlenecks at our customers and assist in the design of research projects. You are also a liaison between our researchers and our laboratories, the workshop and KWR’s available facilities. Because you also support clients during the implementation phase, you will see the impact of your research. The position also offers you the opportunity to broaden your network and share knowledge through national and international assignments.

Your profile

You enjoy doing practical experimental research. You are an enthusiastic and result-driven colleague. You are collaborative and know what the client or researcher needs and know how to plan and organize your work well.

Furthermore:

  • Do you have a completed education at BSc level, for example in the field of Chemical Process Technology or Analytical Chemistry.
  • Do you have several years of experience doing experimental research;
  • You have a practical attitude;
  • Do you have an excellent command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing;
  • Is it an advantage if you have experience with project-based work.

The team

The team conducts challenging research in the field of water technology with the goal of optimizing water quality and sustainability and harnessing the value in water in a changing society. The Water Treatment & Resource Recovery team has established an excellent reputation in the field of water treatment and, as a result, is now in need of reinforcement.
