Sija Stofberg is a researcher in the Geohydrology team. She works on projects in the field of groundwater, such as subsurface water storage for freshwater supply. Sija has experience in the conduct of hydrological system analyses, research and modelling of (un)saturated water flows and substance transport, (eco)hydrological fieldwork, experiment design, soil physics and ecological experimental work and data analysis and statistics. Following her studies in hydrology at Utrecht, Sija did doctoral research in Wageningen into salt exposure and its impact on plants in low-lying areas of the Netherlands. She then taught in the Hydrology programme at VU University Amsterdam.
