Nellie Slaats MSc

Nellie Slaats is a senior project manager and materials expert at KWR. Nellie managet complex national and international projects within the Water Infrastructure team and within KWR generally. These projects mostly concern issues of drinking water distribution, such as the development of management and maintenance tools for water distribution networks, water quality in the networks and drinking water installations, optimisation of new network designs, modelling of consumption patterns and sensor placement.
Nellie studied chemistry at Utrecht University and has worked at KWR since 1992. She is a specialist in the interaction of the drinking water with pipeline materials. Nellie has applied this specialisation in various national and international projects in this field, for example, in developing methods to test materials in contact with drinking water, charting the effects of pipeline materials on drinking water, and measuring the condition of pipeline materials.
