Alexander van Dorssen is a junior researcher in water governance in the Resilience Management & Governance team. He carries out research into citizen participation, societal trends and urban water management. Alexander graduated at the end of 2017 from Wageningen University in International Land and Water Management. His Master’s thesis dealt with domestic wastewater treatment on the banks of the Citarum River in Bandung, Indonesia. The perceptions of citizens played an important role in his research. He did his internship at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Singapore, where he provided advice on potential partnerships for Dutch (water) companies and knowledge organisations in Singapore in areas related to water technology.
