Watershare partners CTM and KWR explore extended collaboration

Working together in Watershare and European projects

On Wednesday, 20 May 2015, Deputy Director, Miquel Rovira, and Richard Elelman of the Spanish research institute, Fundació CTM Centre Tecnològic de Manresa (CTM), visited KWR with the objective of extending the two institutes’ collaboration in, among others, joint project procurement and Watershare.

Current collaboration in Europe and Watershare

CTM is active in applied research, technological development and innovation, including water technology. The institute works with KWR in the European Demoware and BlueSCities projects, and within the CityBlueprint Action Group of EIP Water. CTM also joined Watershare as a Silver Member in 2014, at the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition in Lisbon.

More application possibilities for Watershare tools

During the meeting in Nieuwegein, CTM and KWR discussed strategic subjects for closer collaboration, for example, the Horizon 2020 research programme, the reciprocal use of each other’s networks – for example in the field of industry water – and the recruitment of new Watershare members, especially in Latin America. The further application of Watershare tools in Spain was also discussed. CTM applies a Watershare tool in the European project: InSiTrate (Ín-situ treatment technology for drinking water production from nitrate-polluted groundwater), but also sees possibilities for the Network Flow Performance tool for instance.
